The half-truths that the government is currently advertising announce additional professional resources, which, oddly enough, are not part of the budgetary rules, collective agreements or on the negotiating table. And even if these additional resources were made available, we don’t think these positions will be filled. In fact, we think the opposite would happen.
By choosing to make salary adjustments aimed only at the teachers’ level, the government is creating an imbalance that undermines the entire education system. It creates unbearable tensions among school teams. Deep feelings of injustice and anger are spreading among our members. Our phone is ringing off the hook, overloaded with calls from members who are thinking of throwing in the towel.
